Turnaround times clarification

20 posts in this topic

Ok getting mixed messages from customer service on this. Would appreciate some clarification. I was originally told that the turnaround time stars when the submission is delivered to the building. Given that the turnaround times are fluid, i was under the impression that the effective turn around time would be whatever it is on the date the submission is delivered to the building, not what it is when logged in to the system. For example , my economy order was received to the building on April 9, and on that date the turnaround time for economy was 61 days. Now it is 91 days (at the time of posting this message). Please clarify that the turnaround time applied is whatever that number is when the submission is delivered to the building.

Thank you

Turnaround times now start from the day your package is delivered to our facility, NOT when your submission is entered into our system. Once delivered, submissions are securely stored until opened and entered into our system. Turnaround times are estimates only and are NOT guaranteed. CCG strives to post the most accurate turnaround times possible. However, a variety of factors, including submissions that are improperly packaged, items that require additional research and other circumstances, may result in delays.

I have a 7 card Standard order delivered 4/29 that has yet to be received and I haven't been contacted or billed.  At the time of delivery Standard was 32 business days, I'm currently at 53 business days so no way they start the clock when delivered. They tell everyone in the forums it starts when delivered but this just isn't true.

CardCollector77, did you indicate on the outside of the box that your order was Standard?  If you didn't have the correct labeling on the outside, then it will be treated as bulk, and it will delay the process.

Putting ST on the outside of the box is a relatively new thing that they recently started to suggest.  When most of us who are waiting right now sent our standard orders it wasn't being done unfortunately.

I sent two cards that got delivered on April 29 and were officially logged into the system and are in the grading stage as of July 1st. I got billed on July 11. It was a standard order and I didn’t put ST on any sides so I’m not sure how I got lucky.

These people are the definition of "Bad at what we do" It's the new American way. Being horrible at what you do. CSG ARE THE POSTERBOYS.

They have been completely unable to manage incoming submissions. And deliver anything close to what they sold us.

I sent CSG 16 different submissions in April and May. These submissions were mostly bulk value submissions at $8 per card with a 60 business day "estimated" turnaround time. However 3 were Standard submissions at $25 per card and had an "estimated" turnaround time of 30 days.

Fast forward 70 business days...

I have yet to have a single submission graded by these incompetent A holes. They refuse to acknowledge that they messed up and furthermore refuse to take responsibility and act accordingly.

EACH OF MY 16 SUBMISSIONS IS NOW AT LEAST 20 DAYS OVER THEIR OWN ESTIMATED TURNAROUND TIME.

My 3 Standard submissions are all over DOUBLE their estimated turnaround times and 2 of the 3 have not even been entered into their system. This tells me its only going to get closer to a 3x or 4x turnaround time multiplier for those! So I'm looking at a minimum 75 business day turnaround time for submissions I'm forced to pay $25 a card on and that was sold to me as a 30 day turnaround time.

Today, sick of being taken advantage of and hearing excuses from them about how horrible they are at what they do, I called customer service and ensured I spoke to supervisor. I explained how 2-4x multipliers on 30 day submissions is not acceptable and I felt like they should only charge me the bulk value pricing that they actually are delivering.

I was told that this is what is basically, and just to deal with it and that they would not be offering any credit or cancelations for orders they have already received. It didn't matter that their 30 business day estimate has already turned in to 75 days and I'm looking at over 100 days for the 2 submissions that haven't even been opened yet...

These people are hopelessly incompetent and refuse to do right by their customers. In short, they won't be in business long. I would advise you to stay away from this company as they are:

A) Horrible at what they do

B) Hopelessly incompetent at running a business

C) Have absolutely no problem screwing over their customers

D) Have a very short life trajectory as a company so the slabs will be worthless in a couple of years.

You all might as well change it to have turnaround times start from when it’s entered into your system, might make your turnaround times more accurate….if only slightly.

If they got there April 1st, that's 75 business days. If bulk was 60 days, then well.. you do the math. It sure isn't 20 days.

Yes as someone stated when I submitted they only requested Express and Walkthrough mark the box. The adding ST on standard orders is new to the site unfortunately. So our standard orders are taking the same amount of time economy or bulk sent around those times.

Csg has caught on that we all know when they say cards are in "slab room" it meant they are sitting and not ready to be graded , plenty of ppl have talked about it in group pages and in here and they saw it so the new "thing' they are told to tell us is they are in the safe or vault followed by more lies, including the cards have been graded and waiting to be shipped and we will ship them asap and the cards still sit . Customer service has no clue whats going on and they read scripts , its a sit and wait game . I finally got my March sub back fully after they held 4 cards for "thicker slabs" and only 2 of them came in a thicker slab the other other 2 were in a normal slab so that proved they LIED about 2 of the cards. for all i know maybe they were using the cards that needed "Thicker slabs" at the grading seminar i mean job fair they just held and i hope not cause having random ppl touching your cards adds more chance that they could damage them espically since they arent employees of the company, but really who's cards were they using at the seminar / job fair ?  , but Csg had fed me more lies in 3 months then my kids have .

I attended the CSG Academy and at no time were any raw cards touched by any attendee.  Each participant was given a random slabbed card that was marked "Sample" as part of the swag bag we received for attending.  All of the cards used for the Grading Test were also slabbed "Sample" cards.  I take that back, though, each attendee did receive a pack of 2021 Topps cards that we opened as part of a "Pack Wars" activity.  So no, those who attended the academy did not touch yours, or anyone else's, raw cards...just to clear up that concern you expressed.  :)
