Photo Variations

I've noticed that some cards that are photo variation short prints don't have anything distinguishing them in their CSG labels. PSA seems to either add an "SP" on the label or an extra description such as "Batting" or "Warm-up shirt" or something like that that helps distinguish the variation. Will CSG add something like this in the future?

Thank you for your question. That maybe a detail that CSG will add in the future. When we do, we will make an announcement about it.

They have an attribute for Image Variation. I've got two cards in Grading status right now that are SP variants and they have Image Variation listed as a card attribute. I think you need to specify it on your submission form. It would be pretty difficult for them to know or memorize the various image variation cards across all sports, all years, and all products.

First every short print graded by CSG HAS to be noted somehow, and Secondly if CSG wants to be considered a top tier grader they most certainly HAVE to know and be able to distinguish every variation that comes their way. Yes they may miss on from time to time but not because they didnt know it was a variation.

The top part is what I filled in the form - "Image Variation" second attribute = "refractor"

Yall dropped the Image Variation from the label for some reason. Please stop doing this...

They are dropping parallel attributes a lot. I had about five where it happened and wasn't caught ... and I think one somehow actually affected the grade as the card difference may have been seen as a defect.

I know they can put "Action" on the slabs because they did it on one that was NOT an action variation. Then they left it off an Action Variation,  and also left off Rainbow foil on another one. Been waiting 2 weeks for a mechanical correction form. 0 responses, so I will be making another phone call tomorrow.  I have a bunch of orders that are ready to be paid for, not doing it until I get a form to fix these. It's ridiculous.

Timeout.. you guys can do it now. You put action on card that wasn't,  and  then left it off one that should have been an Action card. Still no response for a mechanical error sheet from corporate.. sigh.

I’ve bought some cards and received a sub that was missing the variations or sub-set. I spoke to a supervisor who confirmed that parallels, serial #s, autos need to be written in the correct box when submitting.

They will fix their mistake for free with overnight shipping both ways, but has the same wait time as express orders.

Trust me, I have wrote exacly what I wanted in the box, and notes, they don't read them, or disregard them. I have so many examples.. I want mine to read exactly like a PSA card, they botched it several times. Granted they are fixing them, and yes paid for shipping. But now I am waiting 4 more weeks on their errors.
