Available for pickup

I see my USPS package was left at the post office in Sarasota and says available for pickup. Does this mean that it’s waiting for a CSG staff to come and get it and then scan it to show it has been received? How does this typically work with the PO Box location?

Thank you for your question. No, your package does not sit in a post office. Packages are shipped to our secure facility and scanned in.

Mine was delivered on may 24th and since then says available for pick up so clearly for three days it’s been sitting at the post office

it's most likely sitting in their secured facility which is their po box

No, it's not. They have a secure facility that it gets delivered to. They just haven't scanned it as received. Have patience.
