Are you able to request an authentic grade(AU) if the grade is under an 8? If so, where on the submission form can you request this?

I don’t believe any grading company does that. Either you can request authentic only (though, I don’t know if CSG does that or not), or you can request it to be graded. If you opt for graded, and the item is deemed authentic but altered, most companies will note the alteration on the label. Some might even opt to not slab the card at all.
