MGazdik
Some companies (Topps) put stickers on the back with a serial number. Sometime this sticker is defective. Most times it is supposed to be silver, but it did not get the coating and you can see the card through part of it. The actual numbers are printer over that. it appears that the sticker is "scratch" but it is not. has anyone submitted a card with this situation? What was the outcome? northkorea
I always assumed that is some sort of oxidation of the reflective substrate. My reasoning is that can happen *after* the sticker had been applied.
MGazdik
Thanks. Interesting. I am guessing that it would negatively affect the grade. What do you think?

What do you think? I have no idea. I would think it shouldn't, as the sticker isn't really a part of the card. Then again, what do I know?
MGazdik
Me either, but the CSG graders said that it would be dinged as a surface problem. Not a big ding but something
