Dominic Garcia
I have a quick question here, I have quite a few 80s baseball cards that are in pretty good shape except I have quite a few rough cuts on the edges. My question is- how much do these rough cuts affect any professional grading? Or is that taken into consideration that so many of the 80s cards were rough cut from the manufacturer? 952melvin
Depends on how CSG does it, but having a veteran grading head CSG, I'd assume it will be the same. I'll use 80's OPC cards as an example, they're known to have rough cuts so it is normal. That wont take away from the grade, those cards for an example if smooth cut are 100% altered/sheet cut cards. 1985 Topps OPC Kirby Puckett rookie for an example, any high graded card that has smooth edges is 100% a sheet cut card.
