Just looking to see what people are thinking after getting back bulk or any subs , was it worth the wait and were you happy with grades , were you not happy with grades and service and turn around times , would you use them again for grading or not . I have finally got all my cards back and was pretty happy for the most part but scratch my head on some grades and i wasnt happy period about turn around times and service , i like the slabs and the look of them but i wont use csg to grade with anymore as the roi isnt there yet , hopefully they make a name for themselves in the sports card world and value goes up .  .

some serious negativity in these chats, I think ya's need to learn how to screen your cards or maybe read the grading scale. Watch a couple youtube reveals Crack cards, BNP cards, SubHub grading these guys consistently getting 70-80% gems and multiple 10s from csg. Crackcards got 38 gems and 6 tens and 6 nines out of 50cards  using nothing but a magnify glass with a light on it. Are these guys super human, do they have friends and family who work for csg? NO!!!! they do there homework. Other channels bashing csg usually a new collector sending in an old shoebox of cards cursing at every grade wandering why they didnt get all 10s on there shaq rookies. Now they are activists against csg. If ya have issues with the resale value or the 9.5 gemmint why would you sub with csg at all?  Most of the complainers are unaware 9.5 is a gem mint, how do you spend that much money on grading and not know the grading scale!! keep all your BS in this section of the chat so we can avoid it or dont it doesnt matter...

While PSA is still at $100 per card, I have been using CSG and have been pleased.  Their holder is my favorite out there, clear and tough.  I just got my second bulk order shipped back yesterday after only 2 months.  I can definitely deal with that.  Of 50 cards, I got 4 10s, 22 9.5, and then mostly 9s after that.   My first bulk was about a 65% gem rate, this one was 52%.  But I think that was more on me as I sent some in that I was fine with 9s if that happened.  As previous posters have said, you really have to scrutinize your cards before sending them in.  There are tons more I'd love to send, but I screen out a lot beforehand and it definitely improves the gem rate.  I could obviously make more money if they were PSA 10 instead of CSG 9.5, but there is just no way I can pay $100 per for the cards I am sending in, so for now I am good with CSG.

4 10's out of 50 is great! there good gem rates its not much different then psa or sgc gem rates. The guy at crackcards has csg locked down 6 10's and almost all gems out of 50, it is possible to have predictable results with csg like ya said ya gotta be vigilant with your screening. what sux is when I spend a few hundred on a card and ya get it in the mail and it has some minor whitening on the edges and ya wanna slab it but ya know your gonna get crushed at csg ha I thought bout sending my minor high value flawed cards to psa but with the psa fee and other bs forget it. Im just gonna sub everything with csg and if it gets a 7.5 or 8 it is what the grade is. But im def gettin subs cause if the card is 9.5 all around and an 8 corner I want a buyer to see it! Psa isnt a walk in the park right now anyway I seen a youtuber crack n send his psa's to Bgs and got a grade higher on almost every card at Bgs. after seeing that ill stick with csg Im more of a collector anyway psa too unpredictable

Recently received back some cards (subbed for my PC)

My thoughts:

-turnaround time was about six months

-i opted for Sub-Grades on every card (was worth it; all of the "air" on the flip otherwise looks meh

-only disappointment was a few Modern cards I sent came back 8.5 when I thought they warranted at least 9.0--but the grading appears to be consistent across the board so I'm ok with it

-the Vintage cards I subbed graded in some cases 1.5 (and in one instance, 2.0) points higher than I had predicted--my concern going in was that only Modern cards would receive any grades of 8.0 and higher

-knowing what I now know about how the overall grade is determined, I'm perfectly fine with this submission, will likely use CSG again

I might use them for my personal collection due to the affordable price and the slabs are nice.   I did a 217 card order and many cards were graded 8 or 8.5s that should've been 9s.  I've been doing this for a long time and I thoroughly screen all cards.   I actually sent in some cards that I thought would grade 8 or less and they received 9s. I don't think their grading is very consistent.   I also had 2 pack pulled cards sent back as trimmed.  1 "trimmed card" came back with a big crease on it from the grader and I was also charged grading fees for these 2 cards. My order also took 9 months to get back from the day they received it.

My brother and I sent in 50 cards to CSG and never again. Their grading is way too hard. We cracked a bunch of the ones we got back and sent them to PSA. My brother has a card store and knows his grades very very well. Cards that should have been getting 9 and up were getting 8s. Out of 50 cards we had 1 9.5 which was just a jordan insert card. It was shocking. I'm dumping the few CSG cards I have left and would never consider them again. Plus they have the new nicer label which is a slap in the face. Why was this not the label they originally should have started with.

LMAO...  That didn't age well, hey shill boy??  CSG drastically lowered all of their standards.. Weird....   So original buyers of this garbage company that got screwed on grading, now cannot say that CSG is the strictest grader anymore. lmao ...  Seriously, you are useless

I sent in 880 cards. Most of which 2020+ cards and didn't get a single 10. Not only do they have a new label, they secretly lowered all of their grading standards. So all of the original buyers get screwed. But you will have goofs like PunsRTonsOfFun shill relentlessly.lmao 140553616_234801608263611_338008884252447193_n.thumb.jpg.341aae211418656d49817ce158001c0d.jpgUntitled.png.d261e9a7e1569d2516438ffcf232a9a5.pngUntitled.png.d261e9a7e1569d2516438ffcf232a9a5.png140553616_234801608263611_338008884252447193_n.thumb.jpg.341aae211418656d49817ce158001c0d.jpgUntitled.png.d261e9a7e1569d2516438ffcf232a9a5.png

Again, either show proof they lowered their grading standards or pipe down. I find it hilarious you don't understand what they actually did here. And sadly, collectors like you who don't really understand grading are the reason they had to do it.

I posted this in another thread, but I figured that you asked to see how their standards were lowered. Here goes:

Josh, out of curiosity, how do the backs look on those cards? Without seeing the back, it's hard to see how reasonable the grades are. Also, is that a stain above Macho Man's head?

So they basically aligned their centering grades with PSA and SGC. Considering how strict they were, that was probably a smart decision. CSG is still very difficult on surface and this doesn't change them being the toughest grader in the industry.
