  1. Books have been sent back to CGC claims department. The ripped books and my incorrect label books. Guess we will see what happens. When looking at the book. You can see that it is also a fresh rip. the edges of the rip are all a crisp white.
  2. And I agree with you. I just meant that at least it was a low value book so thats why I'm not freaking out. If this was a high value book I would be losing my mind. Like you said i'm more concern about accountability in the process.
  3. Thank you Cman. On my end there is little benefit/gain. To be 100% transparent as there is basically little gain for me in this. This is a book that I paid 80.00 for. So no big deal there and the grading fee. The book was a midgrade (4.5/5.0) and is just for my personal collection. Even graded the value is low at 4.5 range around 200 bucks probably. So low value. So even in the end, I would end up with a small credit from CGC, which is no big deal to me. Why would I send a piece of the book with it???? That would just be weird. My big concern with this is that someone in the process (and again not accusing anyone accidents happen) there was an oops. I don't know if CGC comes down super hard on a person where they feel they could lose their job if an accident happens.
  4. Good morning CGC Mike, Yes, I already spoke with CGC yesterday afternoon and the two Canadian books (Firehair 9 and Kathy 1) will be sent back to get the labels fixed up. Both books are not on the census and will be the first editions graded. The Firehair 9 is Superior and the Kathy 1 is Better Publications. I'm just a little disappointed as I sent the books in with the proper descriptions and if the grader had looked at the inside cover they would have seen it. This is not the first time I've had an issue with a book not getting the proper Canadian label. I am also sending back the Jumbo Comics 102 for the claims department to review. The cover had no issues and both staples were attached on the book (besides the corner rip the bottom staple is now detached according to the notes). It was a 4.5/5.0 range. I tried to enhance the photo as it was originally taken as a group shot of my books. So I had to enlarge it. I had taken a pic more to remember books I sent in rather than something like this could happen. I attached the original full picture as well. The book was purchased at 204comics in Winnipeg, MB (Canada) a few weeks ago and the owner can also vouch that there was no issues with the book. Again the good news is that this is not a high value book. I love Fiction House books and it was just for my PC. My biggest concern and I think everyone's concern (and not to accuse anyone/accidents happen) is that you might have an employee that is hiding something like this.
  5. No its 100% my book. There is a shadow along the top and shadowing under the male. So its 100% my book. Honestly if i'm CGC this is a situation where they need to trace back who touched my book as someone tried to just cover this up.
  6. Just had an order finished and blown away by this. First as usual CGC made errors on 2 of my labels I sent in two very very rare Canadian Editions of Firehair 9 and Kathy 1. CGC put them both as US edition. If you open the front cover its shows it that they are both Canadian. I sent them in as Canadian editions and even messaged CGC when they had the description wrong during grading. But the real issue and this should be a major concern for CGC is I sent in a Jumbo Comics 102. It was around a 4.5 to 5.0. I get the grade on Friday and its a 2.0. I was confused and looked at the image online. Its missing the top corner of the book and the bottom staple is now detached. Unbelievable. I take all photos of books before I send them . below are teh photos. Starting the process of fighting with cgc today. Wish me luck, I'm just happy it wasn't a big value book and this was for my personal collection
  7. My brother and I sent in 50 cards to CSG and never again. Their grading is way too hard. We cracked a bunch of the ones we got back and sent them to PSA. My brother has a card store and knows his grades very very well. Cards that should have been getting 9 and up were getting 8s. Out of 50 cards we had 1 9.5 which was just a jordan insert card. It was shocking. I'm dumping the few CSG cards I have left and would never consider them again. Plus they have the new nicer label which is a slap in the face. Why was this not the label they originally should have started with.
  8. Yes, I was shocked with my submission. Nothing higher than a 9. My brother who works in the hobby for 20 years was shocked at the low grades. I definitely should have had a couple 9.5s at least. I'm assuming if you use bulk you won't get 10s or they will be very rare.
  9. Hey everyone Quick question I have an xmen 2 probably a 3.5. I was going to send in but found what appears to be a little bit of glue on the bottom back cover where there is a small rip. You can see two spots. I attached a picture. I assume I would get a purple label for that?
  10. Hi Kevin, Do you know any of the special comic event times yet? (Jim Lee, Transformers, Venom) Want to make plans but can't till I know things don't overlap
  11. Who will be doing the witnessing for the Venom and Batman packages?
