Do you grade hand cut cards? If so, do you have any information you can supply on the grading scale or things that you consider?

Hi! I am wondering if you will knock late 1970's OPC cards that have the characteristic rough cut edges. Do they get poor grades, or does the rough cut count as a function of the card and thus does not detract from the grade on the edges? Thanks!

CSG is getting punished on blowout for their harsh grading. I have two cards where I believe their math is off when it comes to centering. The worst was a George Brett cert 1013074003, where the centering seems like a 6, not 4.5, judging by counting the pixels. It certainly is off center, but using one of the centering tools, or counting pixels, it seems like a miss. Judge for yourself. Being a tough grader is one thing (which is good), but being overly punitive is not going to help CSG long term.

I really don't understand how if I enter a card for the registry, the system says "The competitive CSG Registry doesn't accept this card yet" and then it wants me to suggest it. Can we just get all of the years and sets there. How about 1971 topps baseball.

The fact that they haven't posted "if you have a bulk order, grading/encapsulation takes between 7-10 (or whatever it is) weeks, if you have an economy order, it takes around x-y weeks, etc" is disappointing. It would stop a lot of the complaining. Just knowing really helps.

Agreed... brand new cards are certainly not 10's. Slightly off center, slight surface defects. CSG grading seems more aligned with BGS (which wakes sense as one of their head graders came from beckett). 10's are extremely rare.

Dear CSG: You recently adjusted the turn around time for Economy from around 60 days to 135 days. Can you clarify for the community one of the following: 1. If an order arrived at CSG in April or May, when the turnaround time was stated as 60 or so days, their expected turnaround time is still the 60 or so days, and new orders are now at 135 days. 2. All orders not yet completed are at the new 135 days. 3. Something else. Thank you.
